An article in Psychology
Today does a great job of explaining how people tend to compartmentalize
their sexual fantasies. For some people, some of their sexual fantasies are,
according to the article, ugly, others are bad and some are good. In reality, a
person with a healthy sexuality tends to incorporate all of these fantasies in
a way that emphasizes what they have to offer in terms of pleasure without any
of them actually ascending to the level of ugliness, though some people have hang-ups
about their own sexuality that make them regard their fantasies as being so.
Purchasing sex toys, for some people, is an
incredibly adventurous foray into a world they have never explored. For other
people, it’s simply replacing their dildo. If you are of the former type,
realize that, once you cross the threshold of embracing this particular sexual
fantasy, there is an entire range of fantasies that you can indulge. The key to enjoying these fantasies is not to feel shame or
embarrassment about them. Take a look at a catalog of sex toys and you’ll see
that there are clearly quite a few people who purchase them regularly, given
how many are available on the market. There’s nothing to be ashamed of were sextoys are concerned and they’re certainly not ugly.
